Be A Diamond Blog Hop


A big thanks to Carol of Just Let Me Quilt for bringing us this hop!

I've been making mini quilts recently and have done a few for previous blog hops. So, I made another for this hop. I got the idea for the center section from this site. It uses half-square triangles to create a diamond.

Then I surrounded that section with square-within-a-square blocks; the squares on point are more diamonds.

I added a blue border, which came out kind of wonky, some quilting to emphasize the diamond theme, and a red binding.

Here's a picture of the final mini quilt, which measures approximately 21" square.

  9. Such a pretty mini full of diamond goodness. I love HST diamonds. They are so full of dimension. Cool quilting to make the diamond really pop.
