Kitchen Stichin' Blog Hop My Day

A big thanks to Carla from Creatin' in the Sticks for bringing us another fun hop!

Here's the list of today's participants:

The theme for this hop is Kitchen Stichin'; either something with a kitchen theme or something for the kitchen. I chose the latter and decided to make a utilitarian project.

I have a casserole dish that I use all the time but it doesn't have a lid. I always have to cover it with tin foil or saran wrap when putting leftovers away in the fridge. So, I made a cover for it. I dug into my scrap pile and hand-pieced together a bunch of hexagons with 1.5" sides (not EPP).

I then followed this tutorial, adjusting for the size and shape of my casserole dish, and created my cover. The lining is unbleached muslin.

I also have a mixing bowl that I use all the time, and sometimes I need to put it in the fridge too. So, I made a cover for it as well.

And here's the pair together:

I love to read your comments and will reply to them all via email unless you are a No-Reply Blogger.

Finally, be sure to visit everyone participating in this great blog hop!
