The theme for this hop is Kitchen Stichin'; either something with a kitchen theme or something for the kitchen. I chose the latter and decided to make a utilitarian project.
I have a casserole dish that I use all the time but it doesn't have a lid. I always have to cover it with tin foil or saran wrap when putting leftovers away in the fridge. So, I made a cover for it. I dug into my scrap pile and hand-pieced together a bunch of hexagons with 1.5" sides (not EPP).
I then followed this tutorial, adjusting for the size and shape of my casserole dish, and created my cover. The lining is unbleached muslin.
I also have a mixing bowl that I use all the time, and sometimes I need to put it in the fridge too. So, I made a cover for it as well.
