For my project, I designed a stitchery I'm calling "Filling the Hive." As you can tell by the name, bees are my choice of winged beings. The stitchery measures 8" x 8" so it can be printed out on your home printer. I chose to print it on this product rather than transfer it to my fabric via another method:
After printing on the Stick 'n Stitch, you literally stick it on top of your fabric and then stitch right through it. Then, you wash it off by soaking in warm water. For more complicated designs, I find this easier than other methods of transferring patterns to fabric. I used a 12" embroidery hoop and a 14" square piece of unbleached muslin.
Anyway, here's the stitchery design:
All stitching is done with a back stitch, except for running stitch on the bee flight trails, and french knots on the end of the antenna.

After I stitched it up, it made it into a mini-quilt/wall hanging. My finished piece measures approximately 15" square. I hand quilted the piece with embroidery floss.
