A big thanks to Mdm. Samm as usual and to Marlene for all her hard work organizing this gift exchange/hop and cheering us on! First, I am thrilled to share with you this lovely and very generous collection of gifts I received from Deonn of Quiltscapes!
A very pretty apron, embellished with ric-rac:
A mini-quilt with a lovely flower:
A clever tree made from folded fabric (front and back view):
The absolute sweetest cardinal pincushion:
And to top it off she included a Mormon Tabernacle Choir Holiday CD; and she sings in the choir!
Please let her know how wonderful her projects are! Thank you so much Deonn!
Next, I'll discuss what I made for this hop!
It was fun to come up with ideas for small gifts, and I came up with two different sets. The first are a pair of ornaments that I sent to Patty of Stitch In Time ...which I can't show you! But she will, so check out her post after mine. I will be making the patterns for those ornaments available for free to you all soon.
The second set I made to give to a friend, and to share will you all today. I'm calling them "Yo-Yo Holly Mug Rugs and Gift Tag Ornaments." They are a combination of National Nonwovens WoolFelt and cotton, and I used the Clover Quick Yo-Yo Maker Extra Small in their construction.
I used gingham fabric for the yo-yos, and as a result, they look like peppermint candies! The tags can be used on gifts or as ornaments themselves.
The mug rugs measure 6" square, and have the same holly design.
Thanks in advance for leaving a comment (I will reply, unless you are a no-reply blogger and don't leave me an email address), and please visit everyone else on today's list and for the rest of the hop:
I'm looking forward to participating in another blog hop soon; my day is Friday Nov. 14th. Check back to see what fun projects I've come up with for the holidays!
