Bee Kind Blog Hop

I'm so happy to be joining in another fun blog hop, this time brought to us by Joan of MooseStash Quilting.

Here's the list of today's participants:

For this hop I created a bee-themed piece, and I'm also making it available as a FREE pattern.

It's a little stitchery that I'm calling "Bee Kind," (not very original, I know lol.)

Just right-click on the image and save it to your computer.
The image should measure 8" x 10" so make sure that is the size before you print it out.

Or, you can contact me for the pattern by going to my profile page and clicking on "email."

I like to use a product called Fabri-Solvy when I'm doing embroidery.

You print the pattern on it, and then stick it on the top of your fabric. Then, you can stitch right through it. Afterwards, soak it in warm water to remove the Fabri-Solvy.

Here's my final stitchery:

I love reading your comments and will reply to them via this blog. For some reason, I no longer get emails when people comment; I used to reply via those emails. Hopefully you still get notified that I've replied to your comment here.

Finally, be sure to visit everyone in the hop on their day:

  1. That is a sweet embroidery, Elizabeth. Thank you for the free pattern. I wrote a blog post about how to fix your comment/email issue. Hope it helps: https://patchouli-moon-studio.blogspot.com/2024/08/how-to-fix-blogger-so-your-comments.html

    1. Thanks Carol! It really does make the embroidery process much easier, starting with removing the pattern-transfer step.

  3. What a sweet stitchery. I love that Solvy product and use it from time to time in my applique quilts as well. It's great when you need to stitch on top of dark fabrics that are hard to mark. Thanks for sharing the design with us. It's always nice to have some handwork to work on. I am going to print this out today.

  4. What a darling pattern. Thank you for your generosity. I've never used Solvy, so I need to look into that.

  6. This is so sweet and something we should all have hanging in our house. Thank you for sharing your pattern and the tip about Fabric-Solvy. I would have loved that when I used to embroider things. Tracing is not fun! I may just have to take it up again. Thanks for another pretty project, Elizabeth!

    1. Thanks Carol! Yeah, tracing patterns onto fabric is a real pain. Glad I don't have to do that anymore.
