This hop is all about the jungle and the wild things and creatures that reside there. I've made two small projects, one about flora and one about fauna.
My first project is a mug rug, featuring the exotic Bird of Paradise flowers which grow in the jungle. It measures 9" x 12" and is sewn up in bright colors of National Nonwovens WoolFelt and DMC embroidery floss.
It's a simple design, but I think the end result is pretty and would certainly brighten up your morning cup of whatever. If you'd like to make one yourself, here's a link to the FREE pattern.

My second project is a pin cushion featuring a colorful jungle Toucan. It measures 6" square and I filled it with crushed walnut shells. I sewed up the bird with scraps of WoolFelt and floss that I had on hand. I don't have a pattern for you because I basically "winged" is as I made it. But I thought I'd share the finished piece because I thought it was adorable when finished.
