The theme for this hop is obviously hearts, but with the twist of not using the color red. I decided to go with Spring-like colors and to use hearts as accents for the stars of my piece...butterflies.

I'm calling this pattern, "Fluttering Hearts Penny Rug." It measures 16 inches and is sewn up in National Nonwovens WoolFelt, and DMC embroidery floss.

As you can see, there are hearts on the butterfly wings. The petals on the center flower are heart-shaped too.

If you'd like to make one for yourself, or someone special in your life, the pattern is available in my Etsy shop.

  2. I do like that a lot, and the pattern is tempting me. When I finish cleaning out my fabrics, I'll know what wool I have and I may have to go get this one! So leave it in the shop a while. =)
